Cycle through the magnificent glacial valleys of South Tyrol and Trentino and discover the traditional lifestyle of the picturesque old towns along the way. From the mountain alpine Passo Resia at 1455m you make your way down all the way to Lake Garda. Along the way you will experience magnificent views of the Alps and Dolomites and cycle through beautiful vineyards and lush apple orchards. Visit the charming towns of Silandro, with the tallest church tower in South Tyrol and elegant Merano with a still very traditional atmosphere. In Bolzano you can enjoy a creamy cappuccino and magnificent views of the surrounding hills. Don't miss Piazza Duomo in Trento with his beautiful fountain and the impressive Castle of Buonconsiglio. The final destination is the town of Riva del Garda located on the north shore of the wonderful Lake Garda.

Day 1
Arrival Silandro

Arrival in Silandro (Schlanders in German), the capital of venosta valley, find your cosy family-run hotel. Then walk through the city to discover all the sights such as the tall church tower, the highest in South Tyrol.
Day 2
Cycle from Silandro to Merano (38 km)

Make your way down through the Venosta Valley, you cycle in the middle of the stunning landscape with snow-capped mountains and endless pine forests. Stop for a cappuccino in the bustling city of Naturno. The cycle path then meanders down through the valley to Merano, a famous spa city since the 9th century with a special microclimate. In the afternoon, you can stroll along the beautiful promenade and discover the picturesque little beads in this magical place.
Challenge: 3 hours, 38 km, 150m ascent, 470m descent
Day 3
Cycle from Merano to Caldaro via Bolzano (48 km)

Today you cycle between apple orchards and then reach the town of Bolzano, the majestic capital of South Tyrol. From here, the bike path leads south and rolling through undulating vineyards leading you to the village of Caldaro (Kaltern in German) and its faltering location at Lake Lago di Caldaro scelto.
Challenge: 4 hours, 48 km, 340m ascent, 475m descent
Day 4
Cycling from Caldaro to Trento (53 km)

From the crystal clear waters of Lake Caldaro, we move along the "strada del Vino" (wine road) through many small wine villages and beautiful views. You cycle down the Adige Valley and take the bike path to Trento. Why not try one of the 'Bici Grill' (stop for cyclists) and visit the old villages, Own and Salorno. You finally reach Trento and can devote the afternoon to exploring the city.
Challenge: 4.5 hours, 53 km, 295m ascent, 325m descent
Day 5
Cycle from Trento to Lake Garda (48 km)

The first part of the route follows a cycle path along the blue-green waters of the Adige River and leads to the town of Rovereto (30 km). You then continue westwards and after a light ascent you reach a small pass with stunning views of Lake Garda. A short descent takes you to the old town of Riva del Garda. Make your way through narrow medieval alleyways to find your hotel.
Challenge: 4 hours, 48 km, 150m ascent, 500m descent
Day 6
Arrivederci Riva del Garda!

The trip and our services will be completed after breakfast, unless you have booked a transfer to the airport or to the train station or other additional services.
Practical information
Start your travel any day of the week depending on availability between April and October.
Fly or take you otherwise to Innsbruck (INN), Verona (VRN) or Venice (VCE).
If you come via Verona (VRN) or Venezia (VCE), take you to the railway station Verona Porta Nuova by bus/train. Once there you reach Silandro by train, prey in Bolzano and Merano.
Coming from Innsbruck Airport (INN), get to the innsbruck HBF railway station (Hauptbahnhof). From there, you make your way to Silandro by train (Change in Brenner, Merano or Bolzano).
Departure from Riva del Garda
On departure day, take a local bus in Riva del Garda to get to the railway station in Rovereto. From there, trains go to Verona Porta Nuova, Venezia Mestre, Santa Lucia or Innsbruck.
