Rolling green hills, with the white peaks of the Alps as a backdrop. Crossing the famous vineyards of Barolo and Barbaresco. Taste the most famous regional dishes: Chocolates, cheeses and tasty salami’s and, of course, the king of truffles, the famous white truffle of Alba. You start in the ‘hundred towered’ city of Alba, with Roman, Baroque, and Gothic Architecture. Day 1
Arrive at Alba in Piedmonte region

Make a stroll through this beautiful old town, also known as the city of 100 towers. Alba is the capital of the hilly area of the Langhe famous for its white truffles, hazelnuts, peaches, and top-class wines. Take your time to visit the old center, with pre-Roman origins, and sit down at the city square with a glass of excellent wine.
Day 2
Ride from Alba to Benevello via Barolo

You will cycle in the famous Langhe region through a delightful countryside of green, rolling hills. This is the region of the delicious Barolo wine and there are countless wineries to stop by, but if you want to sample most of them stop by the Enoteca Regionale del Barolo, where they have more than 30 on taste; The Wine Museum is also another interesting stop in the castle of Barolo, but remember not to drink too much since there is still some way to cycle between here and Benevello.
Challenge: 4.5 hours, 48 km, 900 m uphill, 600 m downhill
Day 3
Ride Benevello loop via Cossano Belbo (31 km)
(OPTIONAL loop via Mombarcaro) (68 km)

Today you have two options: a north cycle route to explore the hills surrounding Cassano Belbo or a longer but very panoramic ride to the highest village of the Langhe region, Mombarcaro, at nearly 1000m above sea level.
Challenge: 3 or 6 hours, 31/68 km, 600/1500 m ascent.
Day 4
Return to Alba, choose your challange for today, 15 or 34 km

You can choose a short or a little bit longer ride back to Alba today. Alba is not only beautiful it is a superb place to eat and it's not for nothing that it is known as the gourmet capital of Piedmont. Please make sure you book a nice restaurant to eat at. Maybe both lunch and dinner.
Challenge: 2 or 3 hours, 15 / 34 km, 100/500 m ascent
Day 5
Arrivederci Alba !

You can start on any day of the week, subject to availability, between April and October
There are a lot of airports you can choose between to reach Alba: Turin; Milan Malpensa and Linate; Genoa.
From any airport, you can reach Alba by taking the train or bus to the closest railway station.
